Does the Marianopolis First Aid Team only take care of first aid treatment at school?
The Marianopolis First Aid Team organizes numerous events like the Health Fair as well as many fundraising events such as the annual auction and bakesales on campus. Our Intercollegiate First Aid Competition is also held yearly.

The Marianopolis First Aid Team is partly funded by MSU (Marianopolis Student Union) and is also self-funded. Various fundraising activities like the annual auction and bakesales are organized to raise funds for the team.

Training
How are first aiders trained/What certifications are needed to become a first aider?
All first aiders must have a valid (non-expired) proof of first aid certification. If not, members undergo an organized training at the college to earn their certification. Certifications that are accepted include : National Lifeguard, First Aid/AED (automated external defibrillator), etc. Furthermore, all members undergo one training per semester preparing them for the most commonly observed situations at the college.

Shifts
What commitment is required to be a first aider?
First aiders must take at least one weekly shift in one of the two first aid rooms on campus, for a total of at least one hour per week. The must also participate in the fundraising activities and, while they don't have to, are greatly encouraged to volunteer for the Blood Drive and the Health Fair.
